Circular economy: a common language and tools to change the model
The circular economy aims to ensure the sustainable development of society by breaking with the linear economic logic of extract-produce-consume-dispose, which leads to the depletion of resources and the loss of biodiversity. The need to move towards this alternative model is increasingly recognised around the world, as demonstrated by the scale of the international work being carried out at ISO and led by France on the subject. Since 2018, 85 member countries have volunteered to establish a common vision of the circular economy, agree on a common language and offer economic players tools to support them in their transformation.
The Afnor Group offers you an update on these first international circular economy standards and a focus on specific work carried out in France for the packaging sector.
Benoît Meyronin, CEO of Korus Group Consulting and Professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management - Alexandre Souvignet, Co-founder and CEO of ALPHI
A new relationship with work: is 'care' part of the answer ?
Benoît Meyronin and Alexandre Souvignet invite you to share their thoughts on management through a particular prism: the ethics of care.
This form of ethics, which emerged in the United States in the early 1980s, is helping us to rethink our managerial practices in a destabilising context:
-Reversal of employer > employee power
-Attracting and retaining employees
-Demographics: the behaviour and expectations of 'connected' generations
-Post-pandemic expectations: caring is no longer an option, but an injunction
The two speakers will share their convictions and feedback through concrete examples, including that of the French leader in formwork solutions (and an international player).

Sidney Rostan, Founder & CEO Bioxegy, a design and engineering company pioneer of biomimicry in France
Biomimicry: when nature's ingenuity inspires the innovations of the future
Nature is a formidable reservoir of proven, sustainable technological know-how. With his teams, Sidney draws inspiration from the materials, functions, properties and mechanisms of living organisms to design new bio-inspired innovations. His company, Bioxegy, is a pioneer in biomimicry in Europe and works with the R&D departments of many industrial companies in France and elsewhere. Structural strength, lightness, eco-design, thermoregulation, colouring, contamination control... nature provides a wealth of solutions for the packaging industry. Come and find out what the prospects are for this original and promising approach !
Marie-Alix Berthet, Circular Economy Project Manager, IPC (Centre technique industriel de la plasturgie et des composites).
Buddie-Pack, a circular economy project focusing on reuse
IPC presents the Buddie Pack project and the research underway, which aims to put in place a systemic approach to the large-scale deployment of reusable plastic packaging (RPP). In this conference, IPC presents its multidisciplinary approach, focusing in particular on the technical properties of products, their acceptability to consumers, safety and quality to meet their expectations.
Arnaud Le Berrigaud, Founder of ALB Expert Pack
Environmental claims... a double-edged sword ?
Producing and consuming in a more environmentally-friendly way is no longer just a challenge today, but the goal to be achieved if we are to radically change the way our society produces and consumes. The environmental argument is not a sales argument like any other: it brings together the commitment of a company and the involvement of a consumer in favour of sustainable development, and cannot be based on ambiguity or approximation.
More than ever, consumer expectations regarding the environmental impact of products and services have a decisive influence on their economic behaviour. And we must avoid losing them by using biased environmental claims.
The 3R strategy is now known: in order to make them more environmentally friendly, single-use packaging must more than ever be eco-designed, recyclable and incorporate recycled material. But, already, public authorities and regulations, including at European level, are pushing to go further. Unnecessary packaging will eventually be banned. How to anticipate? What are the advances in recycling channels? On the program, concrete answers and sources of inspiration.

The art of packaging and industrial property: why and how to protect your packaging ?
As well as fulfilling its primary function of packaging goods, product packaging is used as a marketing tool, attracting customers with its visuals and messages and serving as a source of identification of a product's origin. It also enables companies to demonstrate their capacity for innovation. So why and how can companies protect something as important as their packaging ?
Bruno Siri, General Delegate, Conseil National de l'Emballage
Vacuum and packaging: the Conseil National de l'Emballage fills a gap !
Emptying and packaging: Regulations require packaging to be optimised in terms of both mass and volume. Mass reduction at source has long been anchored in companies. Taking volume reduction into account has given rise to heated and passionate debate. The CNE is analysing the factors that explain functional voids (voids that perform a function) and so-called "useless" voids (voids that players must reduce in accordance with regulations). The CNE proposes a way of thinking that allows us to move beyond the emotional perception of a void to the rationality of the subject.
Christophe Callejon, Business Developer & Expert Packaging, Centre Technique du Papier
Innovations to push back the barriers
The Centre Technique du Papier has been innovating in the field of biomaterials and paperboard for over 60 years. By keeping a close eye on changes in markets and regulations, the CTP offers conventional and/or breakthrough solutions for current and future packaging. Pushing back the limits of cellulose materials through innovation is one of its missions.
Conseil Régional Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
Let's reinvent our packaging, a cross-section of public and private players working towards a more sustainable economy !
Since 2020, the AGEC law has been encouraging companies to innovate in terms of packaging, and to promote eco-design, recycling and the improvement of end-of-life products. The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regional government and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region are key public players in this field, offering various forms of support to businesses in their areas.
Take a look at some of the initiatives and lessons learned, and find out how they are tackling transition and change, and the solutions they are proposing.
More than ever under strong economic pressure, and even as recruitment difficulties increase, production tools must constantly optimize their operational performance. Meeting the challenge of productivity requires rethinking its flows, its methods of supervision, steering and management...
